Founded in 1976 as a custom thermoplastic fabrication company, C&E Plastics has grown from a regional strip line process tank supplier to a worldwide supplier of industrial process equipment. We have provided custom designs to virtually all metal processing industries, from carbon and stainless steels, to aluminum, red metals, specialty alloys, aerospace applications, and more.
Cliff Crighton, C&E Plastics’ founder, was a visionary and one of the few people to realize the potential for thermoplastics in process equipment fabrication. His wife, Esther, the "E" namesake in C&E, was a dedicated supporter of her husband and assisted in the company's organization and development. Many plastic equipment designs in worldwide use today are based on Mr. Crighton's original concepts.
From our location in Georgetown, Pennsylvania, USA, our reach encompasses worldwide proportions. Directed by our President, Clifford D. Crighton, we consistently provide new design solutions for an ever-widening array of customer applications. Beginning as a fabricator, and the company's first employee, Clifford built his training and experience on the finest possible foundation. He was fortunate to work so closely with his father throughout the early developmental years of the industry.
They perfected the process of forming radius corners for tank construction using solid sheets of polypropylene. They were the first to utilize this technology and the first to construct large, self-supporting pickling tanks entirely from polypropylene. This spirit of innovation continues to propel Clifford and all of us at C&E Plastics forward.
